We typically have trails in the city or wooded areas which are about 3-5 miles
(5-8km.) A trail is set by the Hare who leaves marks along the way. The hounds
(the rest of us) leave the starting point about 12 minutes after the hare leaves and
tries to catch him or her before the end.

At the end we get together in “The Circle” to sing songs and have fellow hashers
down beers as either reward or punishment for things they did on the trail.

The night ends with everyone heading to the On-On (restaurant or place that
serves food) to recover.

We are part of a worldwide “drinking club
with a running problem.” We invite anyone to
join us who has a good sense of humor (not
easily offended), likes to run, walk or hike
and then likes to down a few beers (or other
beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic)
at the end and sing a bunch of drunken
songs. Hashing is non-competitive so do not
feel that you have to be in shape to hash!
